Mark has lectured on Chicano music at colleges and universities,
including U.C. Berkeley, U.C.L.A., Cal State L.A., Cal State Fullerton,
El Paso Community College, San Diego Mesa College, and National
Hispanic University in San Jose, CA. He's also spoken
at high schools, community venues, and museums such as the Marin County
Civic Center and Museo Cultural in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mark's lecture/performance includes a
slide show, video clips, sound bytes, performances of songs
accompanied by his guitar, and a question and answer segment.

Mark has been a consultant for the Experience Music Project
Museum in Seattle, Washington for the "American Sabor:
Latinos In U.S. Popular Music" exhibit, which ran for
eleven months there starting in October of 2007 and then
traveled to museums across the country, and the Grammy
Museum in Los Angeles for the "Songs of Conscience, Sounds
of Freedom" exhibit, which ran for a year starting in

Ode Records, Capitol Records, and A&M Records. His
songs were used on all tracks. Marks' songs have been
recorded by artists such as Herb Alpert, Trini Lopez, Chan

appeared in television productions such as "Murals of
Aztlan" and "L.A. An Artist's View" and documentaries
including "Lalo Guerrero: The Original Chicano"

7. Mark & the
Mark performs with his reunited 1960s band, Mark & the
Escorts. Starting with a reunion in at Blowout 2009 in Van
Nuys, California, the band is back together with five original
members. Mark & the Escorts recorded two single for GNP
Crescendo Records in 1965. Mark & the Escorts' recording of "Get Your Baby" has
become a garage rock classic and appeared on four
compilation CDs. The band has also been featured in many books
