In 2023, Gregory Esparza, lead singer for Thee Midniters for around 15 years starting in 2006 and a candidate for a master's degree from California State University at Los Angeles, chose my early 70s band Tango as the subject of his mini-documentary for one of his classes. The mini-doc was shown at at the Chicanx Film Festival on the campus of Cal State L.A. on May 5, 2023. Shortly after the screening, Greg Esparza earned his masters degree and will begin teaching at the University beginning in the fall in the Chicano/a Latino/a Studies department.
